Connect your own domain
Point a domain you own at your Shoopy storefront, with HTTPS issued automatically once DNS is verified.
Your store starts on a Shoopy address. Connecting your own domain replaces it everywhere — storefront, order emails, invoice links.
Before you start
- You need access to the DNS settings wherever the domain is registered (GoDaddy, BigRock, Cloudflare, and similar registrars all work).
- Decide whether the store lives at the root (
yourbrand.in) or a subdomain (shop.yourbrand.in). Both are supported.
Steps
- Open Settings → Domain and enter the domain you own.
- Add the two DNS records shown on that screen at your registrar — one verifies ownership, the other points traffic at your store.
- Wait for verification. DNS changes usually apply within minutes but can take up to 24 hours depending on the registrar.
- HTTPS is issued automatically once verification passes; there is no certificate to buy or renew.
If verification doesn’t pass
- Check the records for stray whitespace or a duplicated hostname — the most common cause.
- If the domain previously pointed at another platform, remove that platform’s old records first.
- Still stuck after 24 hours? Contact support with your domain name and a screenshot of the DNS records.
